Outline
The VT Series are high-sensitivity electronic voltmeters designed for measuring the rms values of AC voltages. 

The VT-181 and VT-181E are basic models with a maximum sensitivity of 1 mV full scale (VT-181) or 300 μV full scale (VT-181E)? measuring frequency band of 5 Hz to 1 MHz? indication accuracy of ±3% and 10 dB/step attenuator. 

The VT-183 is an energy-saving model featuring an up/down auto ranging attenuator as well as the basic performance of the above models. 

The VT-182 is an ultrahigh-sensitivity model with10 μV full scale. (It is also referred to as a noise meter.) It incorporates audio compensation filters (JIS-A? DIN-NOISE? DIN-AUDIO? CCIR? CCIR/ARM) which? together with its capability for average value detection and peak value detection? makes it a powerful tool in measuring very low voltages such as noise levels. 

The VT-185 (1mV full scale) and VT-186 (300 μV full scale) are 2-channel models with two attenuators? which can be used in either independent or interconnected operation? making for easy independent voltage measurements and voltage comparisons. The VT-187 has performance identical to the VT-186 except that its attenuators can be switched from a remote controller (optional). Each member of the VT Series lineup has specific features setting it apart from the other models? allowing you to select the exact voltmeter to match your needs.
Features
Electronic Voltmeters VT-181/VT-181E
The VT-181 and VT-181E are electronic voltmeters capable of measuring the rms values of AC voltages. The measuring ranges are from 1mV to 300V f.s. (VT-181) and 300μV to 100 V f.s. (VT-181E), the frequency response is from 5H to 1MHz, and the input impedance is 10MΩ at 45pF (VT-181) or 50pF (VT-181E). Each model is equipped with a monitor output with a gain of approx. 60dB so that it can be used as a broad-band preamplifier.

Ultrahigh-Sensitivity Electronic Voltmeter VT-182
The VT-182 ultrahigh-sensitivity electronic voltmeter is capable of measuring noise voltages and S/N. With a measuring range between 10 μV and 300 V f.s., frequency response is between 10 Hz and 500 kHz and 5 audio compensation filters (JIS-A, DIN-NOISE, DIN-AUDIO, CCIR, CCIR/ARM) are built in, this model can also be used as a noise meter.

Autoranging Electronic Voltmeter VT-183
The VT-183 is a high-sensitivity, broad-band electronic voltmeter featuring automated range switching. The up/down autoranging system allows switching of the measuring range to the easiest-to-read range in an instant. The measuring range is between 1 μV and 300 V f.s., the frequency response is between 10 Hz and 1 MHz and the input impedance is 10 MΩ at 45 pF. The set range is displayed by 12 LEDs in the upper part of the front panel.

2-Channel Electronic Voltmeter VT-185
The VT-185 is a high-sensitivity, 2-channel electronic voltmeter using a 2-pointer meter. The measuring range is between 1μV and 300V f.s. (2 CHs), the frequency response is between 5Hz and 1 MHz and the input impedance is 10MΩ at 45 pF. It can be used as 2 sets of electronic voltmeters as well as a broad-band preamplifier.

2-Channel Electronic Voltmeter VT-185
The VT-185 is a high-sensitivity, 2-channel electronic voltmeter using a 2-pointer meter. The measuring range is between 1μV and 300V f.s. (2 CHs), the frequency response is between 5Hz and 1 MHz and the input impedance is 10MΩ at 45 pF. It can be used as 2 sets of electronic voltmeters as well as a broad-band preamplifier.

2-Channel High-Sensitivity Electronic Voltmeter VT-186
The VT-186 is a high-sensitivity, broad-band 2-channel electronic voltmeter with a 2-pointer meter. With the measurement range of 300μV to 100 V f.s. (2 CHs), frequency response of 5 Hz to 1 MHz and input impedance of 10MΩ at 45pF, it can be used as two high-sensitivity electronic voltmeter units as well as a broad-band preamplifier.

2-Channel high-sensitivity electronic voltmeter VT-187
The VT-187 is a high-sensitivity, broad-band 2-channel electronic voltmeter with a 2-pointer meter. With the measurement range of 300 micro V to 100 V f.s. (2 CHs), frequency response of 5 Hz to 1 MHz and input impedance of 10MΩ at 45 pF, it can be used as two high-sensitivity electronic voltmeter units as well as a broad-band preamplifier. The greatest feature of this model is that it can be remote controlled from the optional RT-62A remote controller.
